Cancellation Policy
All cancellation instructions must be sent to ToKenya.com in writing. Cancellation penalties apply on the date a client sends a written notification to ToKenya.com to cancel their confirmed reservations. The cancellation penalties escalate the closer one cancels to their arrival date. Kenya and Tanzania safaris are often reserved between six to eight months before departure. At the time of securing the reservations, deposits are paid and administrative expenses incurred to secure the accommodation from hotels, lodges and tented camps. Once the deposit is made, the property owners can no longer sell the room(s) reserved for you. As such, penalties apply if safari is cancelled after reservations have been made and become steeper closer to the arrival date.
Our cancellation policy is as follows
- If a cancellation is made up to 90 prior to departure, then full refund minus a penalty of $750 per person will be given.
- If a cancellation is made 89 to 45 days prior to departure, then full refund minus a penalty of 33% of total safari cost will be given.
- If a cancellation is made 45 days or less prior to departure, then no refund will be given. The full penalty of 100% applies.
