Relax right on the water’s edge and unwind to the playful frolics of our resident family of hippo. Just make sure you don’t try to take a walk on that extra green patch of lawn - it’s really a floating garden of water cabbage that is home to some of Africa’s biggest crocodiles!

Accommodations
Grumeti River Camp offers ten flamboyant tents under makuti (palm frond) canopies. Each of the spacious tents has a furnished deck and ensuite bathroom with hand basin, separate shower open to the stars and separate w.c. There is an overhead fan and the local sculptured furnishings and vibrant decor bring alive the excitement and romance of Africa.

The dining area has a central open fire and outdoor pizza oven to incite a healthy appetite and encourages guests to spend the evenings under the Serengeti skies.

Children are welcome. Travel to Tanzania is recommended for children 8 years and older. Regretfully, children 5 years and younger cannot participate in the regular game-drives.
